IWMA member Ultra Fog has recently secured two road tunnel projects in India.
Project 1: Silkyara ˗ Barkot Tunnel in Uttarakhand.
We have been chosen as the supplier of the water mist fire fighting system for the prestigious Silkyara ˗ Barkot Tunnel, a crucial component of the Chardham route. This two-lane tunnel project spans over 4.531 km through the challenging Himalayan terrain, representing a significant milestone in highway development. Once operational, this tunnel will dramatically reduce the road length from 35 km to just 4.5 km, greatly improving access to pilgrimage sites and fostering regional development.
The "Missing Link" Tunnel Project on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Asia's widest tunnel. This monumental project on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway boasts an 8-lane, 13.3 km access-controlled highway. In addition, this remarkable tunnel will have an impressive width of 22 meters, optimizing traffic flow and accommodating a greater number of vehicles. This achievement marks a significant milestone in tunnel engineering and we are proud to be a part of it.
A further step towards the region was the opening of a regional office.
