On Linkedin, Kamel Swietnicki (VdS) has announced that an article on water mist written by him and his colleague Christian Kopp has been published in the 3rd issue of the EFSN magazine Sprinkler Outlook. He writes:
➡️ Currently, there are many guidelines on the market that deepen the topic of water mist extinguishing installation. This installation has been known for many years, but still treated as a "new" extinguishing installation. Should you be afraid of it? Can we use it as an alternative to conventional extinguishing systems such as sprinkler systems?
➡️ VdS has been dealing with certification and acceptance of this type of installation for many years. The experience gained over the years in this field can be helpful not only for designers/contractors of installations, but also for manufacturers and finally customers who would like to invest in good and effective fire protection. But how can you tell if this installation is effective? Can safety be measured? Who can possibly do this?
➡️ These and other issues can be found in the latest Sprinkler Outlook Issue 3, which was published on the European Fire Sprinkler Network website.
