During their last board meeting on 24th October - and first board meeting after the annual IWMA member meeting on 17th September in Antwerp - the IWMA directors confirmed Dirk Sprakel (Fogtec) in office. Dirk Sprakel has been vice-president of the association for well over ten years.
The articles of the association demand that each director is confirmed in office every three years. In 2024, the vice-president had to be confirmed. This happened in two consecutive steps:
1.) Dirk Sprakel was confirmed as a member of the board at the annual member meeting in Antwerpen.
2.) Dirk Sprakel was re-elected vice-president at the board meeting on 24th October.
The other board member who was confirmed in office as member of the board was Henrik Bygbjerg (Danfoss Fire Safety).
Alex Palle (VID Firekill) left the IWMA board of directors and was made honorary member of IWMA.
