During the 9th session of the IMO Sub-Committee on Ship Systems and Equipment (SSE) the protection of Ro-Ro-Passenger Ships was discussed. In addition, a new section (2.5 fixed water-based fire extinguishing on ro-ro passenger ships' weather decks intended for the carriage of vehicles) was added. For the time being this has the status of a draft amendment to the FSS Code (International Code for Fire Safety Systems).
