Los Angeles Metro - FOGTEC equips new trains with water mist fire suppression.

The new HR4000 subway car for Los Angeles Metro will be protected by FOGTEC fire detection and high pressure water mist fire suppression. The 64 cars from CRRC will increase the service level on the Los Angeles Red line as well as the Purple line that is being extended.

This will be the first fleet of new rail vehicles in the USA to be installed with a water mist fire suppression system in the passenger area. This represents a milestone, not just for FOGTEC but also for the use in the USA of on-board fire suppression in passenger areas as part of the whole fire life safety concept.
