The Nightclub Fire in Crans Montana brings Fire Protection for this Application back into Focus

The fire in a nightclub in Switzerland on New Year’s Eve draws attention to a sensitive environment: densely populated rooms, basements and complex interior design. In such usage scenarios, technical solutions are required that control fires at an early stage and support self-rescue.

Annabel’s Club, London

The traditional private members’ club in London’s Mayfair district, founded in 1963, is known worldwide as one of the hotspots for celebrities. According to reports, Queen Elizabeth II has also visited it during her lifetime.

Since its renovation, the exclusive club has been protected by a high-pressure water mist system from FOGTEC.

The particular challenge lay in integrating the technology into a particularly high-quality interior design. The installed nozzles were colour-matched to their respective surroundings so that the room design is not compromised, but effective fire protection is still reliably available in the background at all times.

Bar Coco Schmitz, Cologne

In the Coco Schmitz bar on Aachener Straße in Cologne, the complete disco area in the basement is secured with a FOGTEC fire protection system to help ensure safe evacuation in the event of a fire.

Especially in basements with high occupancy, a coordinated combination of early fire detection, firefighting and smoke control is crucial. These two references show how technical requirements and architectural demands can be combined in existing buildings.
