Joachim Böke resigns as CEN/TC 191/WG 10 convenor

IWMA would like to thank Dr. Böke for his great work in developing the European Water Mist Standard together with WG10

Due to a change of employer, Dr. Joachim Böke, has resigned from his position as convenor of the CEN/TC 191/WG 10 (Technical committee for fixed firefighting systems / water mist systems). Together with Dr. Böke, WG 10 developed a European Standard for water mist systems. Part one of this standard as well as parts 8, 9 and 16 have been published. Parts 3, 6, 11 and 17 are to be published in 2021 or shortly after.

Dr. Böke has been the chairman of this working group for over 20 years. IWMA would like to thank him for his good work, his support and his patience. The members of IWMA who had the pleasure of sitting round the table with Dr. Böke wish him all the best for his professional and private future. They hope to bump into him from time to time at events around the globe.

For them time being Alex Palau Bosch (Viking) will take on the role as convenor. However, WG 10 members agreed that in the long run a person with a neutral background should assume the position as convenor for this group.

Candidates will be discussed within and named by the national mirror committees.
